Wikipedia defines it like this: A mood board is a type of collage consisting of images, text, and samples of objects in a composition. They may be physical or digital, and can be "extremely effective" presentation tools.
Mood boards can be a great way to convey your design idea, win pitches and get an early sign-off.

It's important to have fun with a mood board.
As Creative Bloq writes in their article, it should be "a refreshing break from the often tedious tasks of the jobbing designer. If you're not having fun then it's a sure sign you're going about things the wrong way..."
