back to the
big bang beginning
The name of the game comes from the word "collaboration".
It is a truly interactive application that let's you and your friends,
or you and your phone, create stories together.
Collab
The game starts off with a 'situation'. It can be anything -
from "You want to go to the cinema, but it's raining" to "You become a murder witness..."

Then you and your friend take turns to write each step of the story. One always starts with the word "fortunatelly", and the other one with the word "unfortunatelly".
And it can go on like this for as long as you wish!
Here you can see how the menu behaves when you click an option to learn more about it.
This is our welcome screen.
You can sign up for Collab by using email or Facebook.
And once you've logged into the app, you won't have to enter your password again!
Some information on the game:

It is a Round-robin story, which is a type of collaborative fiction or storytelling in which a number of authors write chapters of a novel or pieces of a story, in rounds.

2-player mode: Two players join a chat room. A situation is given to them and they take turns to write new steps of the story. It is purely text-based game and the gameplay of this mode is best illustrated in the images above.

1-player rapid: The app gives you a situation, immediately followed by "Fortunately" or "Unfortunately" and you have to answer with the opposite.

Example:
App: You're in a plane. Unfortunately, it is going to crash!
Player: Fortunately, I have a parachute!

App: You're in a boat. Unfortunately, it's sinking!
Player: Fortunately, I have a life vest!
1-player interactive: A gameplay, where you get a situation and you have a library of possible answers. Only a few of them are suitable for the given situation and you have to find them on time!
In this case, the app would be able to produce an image or animation, illustrating the story, because it knows the answer you chose. Unlike when there's an open answer. But not only that! It will be able to continue the story giving you a response to your answers and you will end up with a whole story line, unlike with the Rapid mode.
These are some sketches, charts, brainstorming from when I was coming up with the idea for this game.
A review from our first customer, Patrycja Myślińska:
In my opinion, this game does address the ideas and themes explored in the module. It gives a real role to the player and not just a fictitious feeling of involvement.
